Frankfurt Book Fair 2020 featuring Sheikh Zayed Book Award
The Sheikh Zayed Book Award is delighted to be hosting its virtual event entitled 'The Arab World and Europe: Flight and Migration in Children’s Books', as part of the digital programme at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
The event will see versatile Palestinian-American children’s book author Ibtisam Barakat, winner of the Sheikh Zayed Book Award 2020, in conversation with Kirsten Boie, well-known German author of children’s and young adult books and Dr Stephan Milich, Arabist and board member, Litprom e.V.
The event will shed light on topics such as, ‘How Do Children’s Book Authors Write About The Difficult Subject of Flight and Expulsion?’ and ‘What Kind of Children’s Literature Is Needed To Encourage Open Discussions About This Topic?'.
