History At Home
History at Home will use the fabulous collections of Zayed National Museum to take children on a virtual journey through time. The programme will include previously never seen objects from those collections.
The programme turns children and teens aged 7-15 into active learners, through use of video, graphics, animation, and quizzes and unleashes the powers of these digital tools to bring history to life. It uses gamification as a key learning tool to intrigue older children in particular.
It is designed with an innovative motivation and incentive system; as users gain points for completing the activities, playing the different history-related games, and finding answers to the quizzes. The more points users collect, the greater their chances are of winning exciting prizes – including tickets and family passes to Louvre Abu Dhabi, tickets to Qasr Al Hosn, exciting experiences at Yas Island and the ultimate prize: a day with a real-life archaeologist excavating a site in Al Ain.
