In partnership with Thinkers & Doers and the French Institute in the UAE, Warehouse 421 is hosting a talk entitled 'Tolerance and Intercultural Dialogue As Drivers for Peace'. While tolerance and intercultural dialogue are more crucial than ever in an increasingly interconnected world, their potential value is too often underestimated.

This thought-provoking talk will bring together three leading figures from Arab and European civil society to explore ways for education and culture to build bridges between people from different backgrounds.

In the penultimate month of the Year of Tolerance in the UAE, this topical discussion will also consider how and why diversity should always be viewed primarily as an opportunity rather than a burden or a challenge.

Event Speakers:

- H.E Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Former Minister of State for Tolerance, United Arab Emirates; Former President, Zayed University
- Rachid Benzine, Philosopher and Author
- Manal Ataya, Director General, Sharjah Museums Authority

Event Moderator:

Mina Al Oraibi, Editor-in-Chief, The National
